We were a party of 10 people, ranging from Gen Z members to Baby Boomers; everyone found the game engaging and exciting.
On my birthday celebration at Escape the Room NYC, I opted for their South Park-themed escape room with seven friends joining me on this adventurous journey. Our guide Luke was incredibly helpful throughout our quest to solve complex challenges using logic and wit. Although it proved challenging due to its difficulty level which meant that only about 75-80% could be completed within time constraints, it left us feeling fulfilled.
The Dig puzzle is probably one of my favorite games ever played because despite being quite challenging even for logical thinkers like myself; each person in our group brought different strategies enabling us all to contribute towards solving various clues together as a team effort! Overall Aaron’s excellent customer service made everything feel personal- nothing felt too demanding or impossible during our visit here making for an unforgettable experience. Plus five stars have never been more appropriate after meeting Sam who took game mastering up several notches – by far one of if not THE best GM’s around when visiting!

The atmosphere in the room created an exhilarating feeling as if we were truly living through a doomsday situation.
Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here during our vacation. We played “Escape the Hydeout”, which was perfect for our ages ranging from 9-12 years old (although I must admit, even my husband and I struggled with some puzzles!). Each one of us participated actively, making this a team-building experience full of laughter and delight. To add to it all, our kids cherished this activity so much that they now want to try out more escape rooms!
Although getting here is a bit tricky because you enter through an elevator lobby on your way up; trust me when I say it’s worth finding! My party felt like super-sleuths while playing both sci-fi/dungeon games back-to-back on Sunday afternoons! It’s impossible not to be drawn into playing these entertaining scenarios with friends or colleagues. We’ll definitely return sometime soon for other exciting missions because in reality, escaping can be fun too!

Emily set us up with everything we needed before getting started but it wasn’t until Marilyn stepped onto the floor that our entire team came together to make one unforgettable night out! Komnata Quest Brooklyn was one of the most memorable escape rooms I’ve ever experienced. My friends and I have tried over 20 escape games, but this one stood out because of its high level of quality. We chose to tackle the City of Ashes room, which had a super spooky vibe that kept our adrenaline pumping throughout the experience.
The venue’s waiting area wasn’t in the best condition, and it could certainly use some more maintenance. However, we felt like we got good value for our money and were thoroughly entertained during our time there. The staff members were helpful and patient with us when we went over our allotted time – thankfully, there wasn’t another group scheduled after us!
One thing that surprised me was being asked to leave my phone in a safe during the game due to a “no pictures” policy. Despite initial confusion about entering (the emails weren’t clear), everything else was handled very well by Komnata Quest’s team.
