Lombardi’s, oh Lombardi’s! I have been wanting to try this place for a long time now. Finally, the wait was over when I visited with my friends last week. We had high expectations since it is known as the oldest pizza place in New York City. And boy, we were not disappointed! The Buddy pizza topped with arugula and prosciutto was an experience worth remembering. The crust was thin and crispy just as it should be.
The restaurant might seem small but the ambiance is quite cozy and comfortable which added to the overall experience. Furthermore, their cheesecake deserves a mention – rich and flavorful just like you would expect from a traditional NY-style dessert.
Even though we went during peak hours, our wait time wasn’t too bad considering how popular Lombardi’s has become among tourists recently. Our serving staff were very polite and efficient in getting us seated quickly despite the crowded atmosphere.
